Many people would also like to jump on the environmentally friendly bandwagon, additional companies begin offering us the choices that we have been looking for. It used to be that you had a few choices when you went to the cheapest car rental agencies. You could just pick the category of the vehicle that you wanted, without any way of determining which cheap car hire would be better for the environment. In the case of not being able to get one of these green cars, you can still help the environment by getting the most fuel efficient model available from the agency. Try to find a company that lets you specify which of the holiday car rental options you would want, rather than one that only lets you select the class of vehicle. If you cannot do this, just rent the smallest car that will fit your needs and you will have a good chance of getting the most fuel efficient option available from the agency you use.
